Yellowhead Pioneer Assisted Living is for people who need at least one of the personal assistance services we provide (either assistance with activities of daily living; bathing,  dressing,  grooming, mobility, eating or medication reminders or assistance).  The tenants must be able to choose and direct their own care, and live safely in their own apartment.

 

Assisted Living includes housing, hospitality services and personal assistance.  The hospitality services provided include:

Lunch, supper and two snacks each day

Weekly housekeeping

Weekly laundry for linens and towels

Social and recreational opportunities

24 hour emergency response system

 

Assisted Living

Personal assistance with bathing, grooming and dressing is available when needed.  Reminders or assistance with taking medication is also available.

 

Assisted Living at Yellowhead Pioneer Residence is provided through a partnership with the Interior Health Association and BC Housing.  Eligibility of Assisted Living is determined through an Interior Health case manager and Assisted Living manager.  Eligible seniors and people with disabilities pay a monthly fee of 70% of their after tax income.  There may be extra fees for additional hospitality services such as extra meals or additional laundry.
